The Oriental Dance of Heart

Hello @ midnite from Alice Tr.,

I'm sorry for being so busy these days without posting anything on our blog. I hope you won't feel too much bored. And to compensate for letting this blog freeze almost a week, I'm proud to bring a new inspiration to you by presenting a complete shoot of ............... BELLY DANCING FEATURES!!!!

Ah here, I guess some of you would start questioning, what's belly dancing related to fashion? Why this Alice girl show me this?

Actually it does connect, belly dancing and fashion, in a way. Physically, practicing dance helps your movements become slender, more flexible. You can also pull off a sexy pose by learning through dance step. Belly dance is famous by letting women showing off their best body features. Why won't we apply it to our fashion perception?

Belly dance costume is also a very interesting thing to talk about, naturally provide chillness and sexiness. We can apply it to beachwear case like wearing that bling bling bra/top bikini with long cotton/silk skirt, loosen your hair and put on your sunglasses. COOL?!!!!! A short blazer can be worn out bra/top bikini @ night for warmness.

Okay, everybody let's travel in a words & pictures tour to enjoy an oriental artistic entertainment from the Middle East culture lalala :)

^^ Adios for now my friends,
Alice Tr.

P/s: a bonus of Jai Ho, our current practice song for performance by Pussy Cat Dolls ft. A.R Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire OST).

Dancing makes you feel alive. Dancing makes you feel hyper. Dancing makes you forget what the world is going on. When you dance, you are lost in wonder. When you dance, all the sounds you hear are your heartbeat, your motion, your heart and your mind. They become one unity, the most perfect reflection of freedom and beauty.

Belly dancing brings out more feminity, flexibility and confidence to women.

In this society, where the gap of roles between women & men are becoming smaller, there are times you feel lost .

It's only when you do belly dancing, you can totally free yourself like a bird. Like a female bird :)

Vintage Swimwear

(Source: The Satorialist blog here. An old photo in 70s'. Look how beautiful, lively and stylish this couple show in their swimsuit. Such an inspiration!)

(Source: Garry Pepper Vintage- my favourite blogger in her vintage one-piece swimsuit with high waisted shorts. You can find her here)

(Source: pix given by Miss Anh S.Noble, who has endless passion for fashion, you can find her on fb here. She's wearing a polka dot navy 70s' bikini.)

As you're wandering around corners of Saigon, you will find heaps of people now talking "VINTAGE". Lots of shop opened sell just vintage pieces. Fashionista wears vintage to conference, on the street, in the weekend, etc.

Vintage with simple cut, lace and special type of material might give you an idea that it's easy to dress yet I find it not easy at all to find pieces which's not giving you a granny look. I even find it's harder when it comes to a vintage swimwear that I am now looking for to get ready for beach this summer.

Why has to be vintage? Simply because it not only brings you an elegant and classic look but also it's sexy and trendy that noone can resist.

To own a really vintage swimwear, people mostly concern about hygenic matter that also made me even very tempting but don't dare to walk into any op-shops in town (on Truong Dinh, Ho Xuan Huong, etc).

To tailor it, I am afraid I can't find good cloth.

Now I can only dream...

of how gorgeous it would be to be on the beach in a light pink polka dot one-piece vintage style swimsuit with a glass of Long island iced tea ^_*

Downtown vintage

 Dear friends,

Today is Sunday. It's half past nine pm now when the downtown parties have just started. I can imaging you guys having a lot of fun, enjoying the crowd and new trend music. Bet you won't be home so soon coz I'm used to going out late in the weekend too.  :D

However, I did make a rare change this week. Rather than getting hyper on street, I decided to relax at home. The reason is because I was so exhausted from work and almost got sick. Wise choice is to stay low to save up energy. :)

As you can see, I am sitting in front of my laptop, writing blog and feel so chilled out with a paper cup of 'trà sữa'. :)
But not just doing the plain talk, I am going to present you a very classic look yet incredibly charming. The utmost street style for a beautiful afternoon @downtown.

Are you ready? I count
one...

two...

three...

Tah dah ^.^

Costume: lacy vintage dress by Zipia, fedora hat, Marilyn Monroe necklace, kneel socks, finger ring "SALE", vintage turtle glasses. Sourced locally by me & Jasmine with 'cheap' prices. ^^

And last but not least, recently I've been listening to Beautiful girl by Jose Mari Chan - a very very 'spring-breeze' song when I realized how the song matches our shoot perfectly. It gives me the same feeling, peaceful and beautiful. So I'm sharing it here and hope you guys enjoy it while reading our blog.

Have a good nite, everybody.

With love,
Alice Tr.
