The Oriental Dance of Heart

Hello @ midnite from Alice Tr.,

I'm sorry for being so busy these days without posting anything on our blog. I hope you won't feel too much bored. And to compensate for letting this blog freeze almost a week, I'm proud to bring a new inspiration to you by presenting a complete shoot of ............... BELLY DANCING FEATURES!!!!

Ah here, I guess some of you would start questioning, what's belly dancing related to fashion? Why this Alice girl show me this?

Actually it does connect, belly dancing and fashion, in a way. Physically, practicing dance helps your movements become slender, more flexible. You can also pull off a sexy pose by learning through dance step. Belly dance is famous by letting women showing off their best body features. Why won't we apply it to our fashion perception?

Belly dance costume is also a very interesting thing to talk about, naturally provide chillness and sexiness. We can apply it to beachwear case like wearing that bling bling bra/top bikini with long cotton/silk skirt, loosen your hair and put on your sunglasses. COOL?!!!!! A short blazer can be worn out bra/top bikini @ night for warmness.

Okay, everybody let's travel in a words & pictures tour to enjoy an oriental artistic entertainment from the Middle East culture lalala :)

^^ Adios for now my friends,
Alice Tr.

P/s: a bonus of Jai Ho, our current practice song for performance by Pussy Cat Dolls ft. A.R Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire OST).

Dancing makes you feel alive. Dancing makes you feel hyper. Dancing makes you forget what the world is going on. When you dance, you are lost in wonder. When you dance, all the sounds you hear are your heartbeat, your motion, your heart and your mind. They become one unity, the most perfect reflection of freedom and beauty.

Belly dancing brings out more feminity, flexibility and confidence to women.

In this society, where the gap of roles between women & men are becoming smaller, there are times you feel lost .

It's only when you do belly dancing, you can totally free yourself like a bird. Like a female bird :)

Vintage Swimwear

(Source: The Satorialist blog here. An old photo in 70s'. Look how beautiful, lively and stylish this couple show in their swimsuit. Such an inspiration!)

(Source: Garry Pepper Vintage- my favourite blogger in her vintage one-piece swimsuit with high waisted shorts. You can find her here)

(Source: pix given by Miss Anh S.Noble, who has endless passion for fashion, you can find her on fb here. She's wearing a polka dot navy 70s' bikini.)

As you're wandering around corners of Saigon, you will find heaps of people now talking "VINTAGE". Lots of shop opened sell just vintage pieces. Fashionista wears vintage to conference, on the street, in the weekend, etc.

Vintage with simple cut, lace and special type of material might give you an idea that it's easy to dress yet I find it not easy at all to find pieces which's not giving you a granny look. I even find it's harder when it comes to a vintage swimwear that I am now looking for to get ready for beach this summer.

Why has to be vintage? Simply because it not only brings you an elegant and classic look but also it's sexy and trendy that noone can resist.

To own a really vintage swimwear, people mostly concern about hygenic matter that also made me even very tempting but don't dare to walk into any op-shops in town (on Truong Dinh, Ho Xuan Huong, etc).

To tailor it, I am afraid I can't find good cloth.

Now I can only dream...

of how gorgeous it would be to be on the beach in a light pink polka dot one-piece vintage style swimsuit with a glass of Long island iced tea ^_*

Downtown vintage

 Dear friends,

Today is Sunday. It's half past nine pm now when the downtown parties have just started. I can imaging you guys having a lot of fun, enjoying the crowd and new trend music. Bet you won't be home so soon coz I'm used to going out late in the weekend too.  :D

However, I did make a rare change this week. Rather than getting hyper on street, I decided to relax at home. The reason is because I was so exhausted from work and almost got sick. Wise choice is to stay low to save up energy. :)

As you can see, I am sitting in front of my laptop, writing blog and feel so chilled out with a paper cup of 'trà sữa'. :)
But not just doing the plain talk, I am going to present you a very classic look yet incredibly charming. The utmost street style for a beautiful afternoon @downtown.

Are you ready? I count
one...

two...

three...

Tah dah ^.^

Costume: lacy vintage dress by Zipia, fedora hat, Marilyn Monroe necklace, kneel socks, finger ring "SALE", vintage turtle glasses. Sourced locally by me & Jasmine with 'cheap' prices. ^^

And last but not least, recently I've been listening to Beautiful girl by Jose Mari Chan - a very very 'spring-breeze' song when I realized how the song matches our shoot perfectly. It gives me the same feeling, peaceful and beautiful. So I'm sharing it here and hope you guys enjoy it while reading our blog.

Have a good nite, everybody.

With love,
Alice Tr.

Hue transaction, a concept of rainbow

Ola,

It's me, Alice from Wonderland. :D

How are you? I hope you guys all sound well and loud as usual.

And whether you ask how I am, I MUST HAVE to say I am doing extremely well. (By the fact that I am still up at 1.15am )

You know, I am somehow starting to hallucinate myself that I am turning into a vampire. :( Coz I've been staying up late nearly a week now. And it's weird that this hour is the best hour for my mood to write something =))

But guess what, if I became a vampire, would that mean I could come to find Mr. Edward, kick out Bella and take him down by my own. gurghhhhhhh.... imaging I stuck my teeth in that body and suck his blood OMG!!!!! I'm dying by my own fantasy @.@.....

Somebody slap me please!!

'Alice quit your nasty fantasy and back to the real world now!!!' hey I hear some slapping sounds =)) oopps my hands did slap me by themselves hahahaha

Okay, my story tonight is about Hue transaction. The concept started when Jasmine & I had a conversation about several things. She coincidentally mentioned about Hue transaction concept shown in AsiaLife mag a few months ago. Dummy I asked what it was hahah I had no idea. After hearing from Jasmine, I started to feel hyper. What a cool concept it is. I've never shot anything like that before and it's really challenging coz we have to find all the pieces to put together. (these kind of clothes aren't supposed to stay in our own cupboards at the first place, I mean too rainbow-ful)

So, I came up with an idea. It is to lessen our burden when we run around HCMC to look for each different piece and of coz, to save our time off wonder if this is it or that is it.

Uhm...  I guess you are now impatiently thinking 'what the heck is this lunatic-Alice-turn-vampire talking about? Get to the point! Ya dragging too much!' hahahaa

Yes, I am, keep talking, ah hell no, mumble to myself :( but won't waste any more second of your precious time.

Here it is, my initial kick-off work for the concept. 05 set of outfits, rainbow-shine but still manage to look feminine, characteristic, sophisticated and dedicated.

Hope you enjoy them, and plz wish us luck. Jasmine & I will start our 'find-the-pieces' mission this weekend and if everything goes well, we can have the shooting in early May, YEAH!

Adios for now!
Sleep tight sweeties, <3

Irrisistible Summer Charm - tips

Hello girls,

It's me, Alice Tr. on the line again. Remember I did persuade you try on a pair of biniki in one previous post? Tonight I'm gonna push you a little more. Ssshhhh, plz don't panic. I won't do something bad hahaha.
Actually I am going to inspire you what are best to wear when you go to any must-expose-body-places, even you DON'T possess a perfect shape. ;)

Keep in mind these tips, they work really well. ^^

- Wear a see-through tee outside your top bikini (knit, polyester mixed, etc...). It is to cover your big belly/waist but still reveal your sexiness

- If your legs are your weak point, wear long skirt to cover it but let your top bikini fully exposed. Choose spinning materials to make it easy to walk around.

- Wear accessories to get the attraction to where you are most confident of (necklace if you have slim shoulder, borgat hat if you confident in your long curly hair, foot bracelet or toe rings here if you have nice feet, etc...)

- Put on your sunglasses so you don't have to wry your face all the time

- Wear light make up to brighter your look and remember to smile a lot

- Act cute/charming/sexy in a natural way

Hope these steps are clear and easy for you to apply. I'm sure you not only succeed cover your weak points but also catch charm spell on people like I've just talked. You will be the most shining girl enjoying her best time of the day to the fullness without worry about a damn thing. :) Guaranty.

Don't forget it. Everything is in your hand now. :D

Cheers and good nite, friends!

Adios from now!

Alice Tr.

Spring/Summer Collection '11 @ Designers' House

To reply a call of love, we did manage to attend a fashion show of 06 designers in town, to see what trend will lead this summer.

Up to our prediction, vintage still dominates the fashion market. The world is crazy about it, why not here in HCMC? :)
We know, nobody could refuse the irresistible charm of vintage magnetism. Everybody loves how it brings out the elegance and feminine in a sophisticated classic charm to those-who-wear.

Minimalism is also in line with world trend, simple cut, delight colors, one shoulder and crystal embroidered. Yes, I am talking about evening gowns. If you want to shine glamorously in any evening events you attend, take these! They are definitely your best choice.

Tips: bright skin is best in any color but with brown skin, you need to be carefully choosing color otherwise it will make you look gloomy. Suggestion: deep purple, dark pink, tree green, etc…
And of course, floral dress is always in scoop with a colorful summer. Imagine walking downtown with a silky floral dress (either a maxi or mini knees length), I bet you will have trouble to avoid secret admirers. hahaha.

And last but not least, photos of us taken with Pink Q, a very young but glamorous model, Pink Q is 17. She was our vedette of the night. yay!

Okay, well, it’s time for me to stop my hyper spirit hahaha I know I’ve already bla bla too much. :D
Ooi, have a good time and wish you can find soon all the best outfits for this coming summer. ^^
But plz don’t shop crazily, we are in price criticism period. :(

Adios!
Alice Tr. (aka Truc Tran)

P/s: Sorry for the ugly blur photos. It was so hard taken them with a compact camera in a not-enough-light-ballroom and…and the models they walked fast :(

Classic Girls' Weekend

Behold our photoshoot last weekend. Theme: S/S 11 Hue color trend (I super love this kind of delightful color). Models: myself and my Angel-An. Dress and top: vintage Lam boutique. Haven’t got a matched vintage bags and shoes yet. But I’m proud to present you, my friends, our effort of catching the moment, matching the vintage and hue color trend, and having fun at same times.

Cheers from me, Jasmine.

Location: Riverside Apartment, Thao Dien, Dist 2

It's been awhile since I got my foot hurt and could not move around shooting any photos. It's getting better now, though it's not completely healed but I can walk around in a pair of flat sandals.

With this unexpected shoot, hosnestly I didn't have time to come up with a concept, even not call out the girls to select outfits. Just reply a call from Tys hahaha. So those photos look uhm not as good as they SHOULD BE. But better than nothing, I managed to fill 'em up with a concept at last hahaha and am not sure if my girls scream seeing this. ;-)

Cheers,
Alice Tr.

p/s: almost out of breathe on that damn hot afternoon. gave up shooting after 02 hours... so pathetic

New home and yet already talking about bikini :)

First day@new home,

Been a long time…so many things came up that we postponed our shop project. But whatever happened in our lives, it seems we never lose our love and passion for fashion.

We're glad to have a new blog here. This place will be our real home where we share things happening in our life from now on (of coz it's all about fashion, fashion, fashion and... fashion hahaha).

We promise to make it happen, frequently and loud!  ;)

Definitely mark with our names.

.....
.......

Ding dong ding dong~~ uhmmm blog blogging time?
My story eh.

Okay thing started when I suddenly yelled out 'wat the heck! summer is coming!GOSH!' from my messy desk in the office and somehow managed to dodge a dead glance from my boss  =)) I know, I must admit that my job always puts my mind into crazy but as you can see, I have my fashion inspiration to back it up :). So the next thing came up to my mind was 'wait, do I have my bikini?' hahaha, ookkkay it sounds ridiculous but I bet every girl will react the same just like me. Why? Because when girls talk about summer, 80% they talk about bikini. I mean all kind of swimwears. You disagree? Surf internet and see. Swimwear collections are seen everywhere and millions of girls can't wait to put them on, proudly showing off their hottest curves they've been working so desperately to get. hahhaaha :-D Sadly, this case doesn't apply to me, the body build :( Big fat belly, gloomy skin, too  much fat agrrrrrrrr >.<  But whatever my body looks like, honestly I still want to wear bikini. Well, if you're afraid showing the not-perfect-body, let me persuade you. It's not about how good your body looks like, no, it's all about self-confidence and the comfortably feminine yet sexy feeling it brings to you. Who care about others even if they try to be bitchy with you. Let them frown bleh. :p

All we concern is pulling off the stresses and enjoying a good time in life. Like me, with a pair of bling bling frill halter bikini I am ready for an exotic summer vacation ;)

Girls, I really hope you will, too. Make sure to leave the stress behind and have some good time at the beach enjoying summer with your own bikini choice! <3

Adios!

Alice Tr.

p/s: you can surf http://www.zipia.net/ for bikini ideas before going downtown to find a suit one. ;) good luck my friends.

Adding a photo of me in Zipia outfits, ready for a hot tanned summer by the beach :))
